Our membership in the Virginia PTA provides our students with the opportunity to participate in the National PTA Reflections program, which encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this program.
Patrick Henry students in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to create theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.
Once again, Patrick Henry is participating in The National PTA Reflections Arts Competition! This year’s theme is “What Is Your Story?” All Patrick Henry students can enter the contest in photography, visual arts, literature, film production, dance or music composition. Entries are due October 21, 2016, in the school office. There will be prizes for the first place winners in each age group and category!
Reflections guidelines and entry forms are available in the school lobby. Interested students can also receive more information and support at the Reflections Info Session on October 4th and the Reflections Workshop on October 12th.
